学院简介

电子工程学院是我校成立最早的学院,由微波工程系、电子工程系、信息工程系、集成电路与系统系和电子实验中心组成。

学院现有教职工300余人,其中:“千人计划”入选者4人,长江学者4人,国家杰出青年科学基金获得者4人,“青年千人计划”入选者3人,四川省百人计划6人,教育部跨世纪/新世纪优秀人才16人;高级职称190余人,博士生导师60余人。“计算电磁学及其微波工程应用”团队入选教育部“创新团队发展计划”。

学院电子科学与技术、信息与通信工程一级学科在2012年国家重点学科评估中分别排名第一和第二,所属信号与信息处理、电路与系统、电磁场与微波技术三个国家二级重点学科及信息获取与探测技术四川省重点学科均设有博士点和硕士点;学院设有电子科学与技术、信息与通信工程两个博士后流动站。

学院设有电子信息工程、电磁场与无线技术、信息对抗技术、电波传播与天线四个本科专业(按电子信息工程大类招生),拥有国家工科电工电子基础课程教学基地、国家级实验教学示范中心(电子类)两个国家级教学基地。学院高度重视学生创新意识和能力的培养,本科生、研究生在国际国内学术会议、科技竞赛中屡获佳绩。

学院拥有电磁辐射控制材料国家工程技术研究中心、极高频复杂系统国防重点学科实验室、新型微波探测技术教育部工程研究中心,四川省微波毫米波工程技术研究中心及一批省部级重点实验室。学院科研实力雄厚,主要研究领域涉及八个与国防建设和国民经济发展密切相关的研究领域。建设有电子系统综合试验、大型微波暗室、微波毫米波集成电路在线测试等科研平台;形成了“军事电子”、“基础研究”、和“与企业合作的应用技术研究”的三足鼎立的科研格局。

学院积极开展国际合作与交流,并建有“电子信息工程科学”、“集成电路与集成系统”两个高等学校学科创新引智基地(“111计划”);每年主办两次以上的国际学术会议,与国外知名高校、研究机构建立了广泛和紧密的学术合作与交流关系,极大的扩大了学院的学术影响。

建校以来,电子工程学院共培养了16000余名毕业生,他们遍布海内外IT领域,在国防科研战线,航空航天、电子领域,处处都有学院校友的风采。以香港城市大学薛泉教授为代表的知名学者、以“神舟载人飞船”测控系统总工程师席政少将为代表的国防顶尖技术专家、以网易公司创始人丁磊为代表的IT领军人物等一大批优秀毕业生成为国内外电子信息领域的中坚力量,为我国信息技术及其产业的发展做出了重要贡献。

21世纪是个充满变革与希望的世纪,按照电子科技大学建设“特色性、研究型、开放式”大学的办学定位,走内涵式发展道路的战略思想,依据科学技术发展趋势、社会经济发展需求和学院发展现状,电子工程学院力争在2020年建设成为学科特色鲜明、具有重要学术影响、国际知名的研究型学院。

 

    Profile

School of Electronic Engineering, as the earliest-founded school in University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, is composed of 4 departments and one center, namely Department of Microwave Engineering, Department of Electronic Engineering, Department of Information Engineering, Department of Integrated Circuits and Systems and Electronic Experiment Center.

As a research-active school, it has highly qualified academic faculty, including 4 members of Thousand Talents Program, 4 Yangtse River Scholars, 4 winners of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, 3 member of Thousand Young Talents Program, 6 members of Sichuan Province Hundred Talents Program, 16 New Century Excellent Talents of Ministry of Education; Among which, there are 190 senior professional titles, 60 doctoral supervisors. The Team of Computational Electromagnetics & Microwave Engineering Application is supported by Program for Innovative Research Team of Ministry of Education of China.

Two of the school’s First-level Disciplines, Electronic Science & Technology, Information & Communication Engineering, ranked No.1 and No.2 respectively in 2012 National Key Discipline Assessment. Meanwhile, the school holds three national key disciplines, including Signal & Information Processing, Circuits & Systems and Electromagnetic Field & Microwave Technology, together with one provincial key discipline, that is Information Acquisition & Exploration Technology, every one of which has doctoral and master program. Moreover, the school has two mobile post-doctoral stations for Electronic Science & Technology, Information & Communication Engineering, respectively.

The school has established four undergraduate major: Electronic Information Engineering, Electromagnetic Field and wireless technology, Information Counter Technology, Radio Wave Propagation and Antenna. It holds two National Teaching Bases, namely the National Basic Courses Base of Electrician and Electronics and the National Electronic Experiment Center for Educational Demonstration. The school attaches great importance to the cultivation of students’ ability to innovate, so much so that undergraduates and postgraduates perform very well in international academic conferences and competitions.

In addition, the school is equipped with a range of national and ministerial /provincial Laboratories and research centers, such as: EHF Key Laboratory of Fundamental Science and Novel Microwave Exploration Technology Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Education. Its powerful strength in scientific research has extended to eight research fields which are closely related with domestic economic development. The school has constructed a group of scientific research platforms, such as electronic system integration test, large anechoic chamber, microwave & millimeter-wave integrated circuits online test, etc.

The school actively participates in international cooperation and exchange. It has constructed two Discipline Innovation Introduction Bases (“111 Project”), holds at least two international academic conferences annually, and extensively cooperates with famous foreign universities and research agencies. All of these have helped the school strengthen its academic influence.

More than 16000 students have already graduated from the school, many of which have outstood and played important roles in the areas of national defense research, aerospace and electronics. Among them, there are senior leaders and administrators like Admiral Jia Tingan, reputed scholars like Prof. Xue Quan from City University of Hong Kong, as well as leading figures and elites of IT like Ding Lei, etc. A great number of excellent graduates have become backbone of electronic information field home and abroad, made crucial contributions to the development of China’s information technology and industry.  

In the 21st century, a century full of changes and hopes, following the concept of ‘distinctive, research-oriented, open-minded’ of UESTC and the strategy of “quality-oriented, distinctive and sustainable development”, combining the trend of scientific technology development, the need of social economy development and current situation of the school, School of Electronic Engineering will spare no effort to build itself to a discipline-distinctive, academically influential and international well-known research-oriented school.
